I am serious when I say improvisation changed my creative life for the better (or should I say the opportunity to take classes from professor Sokol) when I witnessed my breakthrough (or breakdown, depending on the specific month of the year, whether I was thoroughly immersing within my bohemian, no fucks given undergrad lifestyle or stressing out from struggling to complete monster-size assignments like these) I like the class so much that I have repeated (technically the class code change with my year but the class includes year 1 through year 4 if there are not enough students to split classes—there will be weeks where juniors & seniors will separate and have their own bespoke lessons, yet wouldn't the class material be the same, one might ask.
Yes, it is nearly identical. And that is precisely the point: most students would sample one year and move on and unlike most other classes, the participant/complement is as affecting the overall experience as what is being taught. And professor Sokol will still give bespoke feedback to students, old and new. (by the way, I think I got Cs and Bs because I didn't submit all things on time and as per usual, my literary prowess remains...dubious at best.
